I want to let you know that the Draft Solano County General Plan Update is now available and on the County's website (www.solanocountygeneralplan.net). The County will be holding a number of open houses in the coming weeks to preview the General Plan Update. The open houses are:

April 9 - D.H. White Elementary School, Rio Vista
April 14 - County Administrative Center, Fairfield
April 16 - Gretchen Higgins Elementary School, Dixon
April 21 - Ulatis Community Center, Vacaville
April 28 - John F. Kennedy Library, Vallejo

The Solano County Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on the General Plan Update in May 2008.

In addition, the Draft EIR is to be released on April 7, 2008 for a 45-day public review period. The Solano County Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on the Draft EIR on May 1, 2008.

I want to urge you to get involved now in the County's General Plan Update. Give me a call (707-745-5845 days and 707-745-3357 nights) to further discuss this. You can also cal Nicole at the Greenbelt Alliance office in Fairfield at 707-427-2308.
