EDGE
Arts Benicia presents the work of 13 artists from the Edge Art Group, whose work is characterized by imaginative use of materials and innovative techniques. These artists share an interest in the unexpected: often their work evokes connections with familiar objects or methods of fabrication, surprising the viewer with a visual pun, or the fact that it is actually made from something other than what it seems. They are exploring the edges of art, craft, and the fabrication of everyday or domestic objects.
Featuring work by Ventana Amico, Allegra Burke, Jeanette Carr, Cynthia Jensen, Marty Jonas, Shoko Kageyama-Klyce, Giselle Kappus, Melody Oxarart, Thomas Pratt, Ruth Tabancay, Cecelia Thorner, Stuart Wagner, and Nancy Ziegler-Nodelman.
